A Commitment to Excellence and Equity in Theatre
Behind the Curtain: Artistic Director, Elizabeth Durand, shares insights on our commitment to high-quality productions and fair compensation for our artists:
Dear Theatre Aezir Patrons,
I’ve received some feedback regarding ticket prices for The Minutes, and I completely understand that times are challenging with inflation affecting us all. Rest assured, we’ve carefully considered these factors, as well as feedback from patrons like you.
Last March, after Marion Bridge, many of you shared that our ticket prices felt reasonable and aligned with other theaters. With The Minutes, we’re thrilled to bring you a cast of eleven talented performers, including Equity actors, and a dedicated team of professional designers and backstage experts. Since transitioning from community to professional theatre in 2023 with The Phoenix Lottery, Theatre Aezir has been committed to delivering the highest quality productions, where artists are fairly compensated for their work.
This shift marks a new era for Theatre Aezir, and we believe the caliber of our productions reflects this. Your continued support allows us to sustain and grow this vision, and we’re grateful to have you with us on this journey. Thank you for being an essential part of Theatre Aezir’s story.
Warm regards,
Elizabeth Durand
