In our ongoing effort to support young theatre artists (ages 16–30), Theatre Aezir is proud to continue its annual Educational Bursary in partnership with Off the Wall, Stratford Artists Alliance.
This year, we are offering $1000.00 to help a young artist further their education and hands-on experience in the theatre arts. The bursary will cover the full cost of one class offered by Off the Wall, with any remaining funds going toward living expenses.
Our goal is to help foster the growth of the next generation of theatre creators. Past bursary recipients have pursued studies in set design, costume design, set building, make-up design and application, prop making, and more.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Applicants must submit:
- An application form (request via email below)
- A resume or CV
- A brief statement of financial need
- Two references who can speak to your aptitude, experience, and interest in theatre arts
Deadline to apply: May 15, 2025
Recipient announced: May 31, 2025
Theatre Aezir’s Board of Directors will review all applications. Selection is based on financial need, demonstrated initiative or experience, and the strength of your personal statement. Creativity and passion are highly valued in all materials submitted (excluding financial documentation).
This is a one-time grant, but applicants are welcome to apply again in future years.
