About the Series: Theatre Aezir is launching a new initiative to showcase local playwrights through a series of staged readings.

Our Mission: We aim to support emerging playwrights and showcase their work, while simultaneously raising funds for Theatre Aezir’s summer production of That Summer by David French at the Guy Lombardo Pavillion running July 16th-26th.
What We’re Looking For
Original, thought-provoking scripts (complete or near-complete)
Playwrights who identify as “emerging” from London & surrounding areas
Unproduced, unstaged, and unpublished work
Cast size of 6 or fewer
Under 2 hours in length (or adaptable) – one-act plays are welcome!
Availability for one of the three reading dates

What We Offer
One-on-one dramaturgical support with Eden Eidt (MA English, UWO) virtual or in-person. Direction by Alexandrea Marsh (BA Theatre Acting, ATU Sligo) with your input. Actors from the London community to present your work. Archival footage of the staged reading upon request – a valuable tool for grant & publisher submissions! (no footage will be taken without the playwright’s consent)
